Wait. Wtf does climate change have to do with Rayne its not near the coast there is no errosion or rising ocean water? The only flooding in Rayne is caused by rain.

Did they really just assume Jayden's gender??? Unbelievable. It's 2016 for Christ sakes.

hopefully a quick dismissal will at least save taxpayers from the expense of this frivolous lawsuit. What ever attorney files this should be in the hook for all expenses incurred to dismiss it

The suit alleges the U.S. has known for more than 50 years that carbon dioxide pollution from burning fossil fuels causes global warming, and "continuing to burn fossil fuels would destabilize the climate system on which present and future generations of our nation depend for their well-being and survival."

quote:

They want the judge to order the government to prepare and implement "an enforceable national remedial plan" to phase out fossil fuel emissions and draw down excess atmospheric carbon dioxide to stabilize the climate. They also want the government to create a "consumption-based inventory" of carbon emissions.

At first I thought "Aww how cute, yet futile."

After reading that her parents are influencing this I'm thinking about how I hope the government countersues and motions for attorney and court fees. Put them in so much debt their great grandchildren will still be making payments.

Plus why isn't she suing the government for the actual problem in south Louisiana (coastal erosion)? Or for the anoxic zone in the Gulf?
