No. No one has ever been. You'll be the first one.

The little girl that yells at you the entire time while giving the tour makes me think of Hitler.

It's OK. The best part about the tour is the beer you can drink. I thought it was pretty cheesy to just show everyone a couple of DVDs about Abita and not have a little prepared speech.

yes, free samples. have fun fighting 100 other people to get to the taps.

Just fill a beer and get back in line to fill it again.

I agree, very underwhelming tour. Especially after hitting up some breweries in CO, Abita really sucked.

over 10 years ago you could basically fill up in their little tap room all you wanted to until they closed. Our tour ended but they said we could stay until like 4 so we stayed and pounded.
I think this has changed though.

Get a full beer before the tour starts, then hang towards the back so you are the first one back to the taps after its over.

I might have been partially responsible for the change. I went in 2007 with a group of friends. We ended up skipping out on the tour and playing flip cup. We stayed so long the tour guide didn't realize we were still there. When he left he locked the gate so we got locked in for a while and got piss arse drunk.

We did the same thing but it was after the tour. Playing with full turbo dogs was rough.

It was ok. I went a couple of weeks ago, and it was pretty crowded. I was able to get 2 beers in before the tour, and about 3 after.

The 40 Arpent brewery in Arabi has a good set up on Fridays. From 5-7 they do sampling of their brews, with a quick tour of their facility if interested. They just won like $50k an entrepreneurship contest, and will be building a tap room, with a two story deck over looking the Mississippi River, which should be done by the end of the year.

in 2005 my boss took me on the SECOND day of my employment bc his parents lived nearby and he needed some help moving some stuff for him.

After we were done we went on the tour and all I really remember is we ended up with 4 pitchers full of beer on the ride home.

That was a cool move by bossman on the second day.

Its free. I've never had issues getting plenty of beer during the tour. Hit the Brew Pub after, foods pretty good, beer is cold.
