It aggregates news stories that are positive, such as medical breakthroughs, social progress in countries all over world, positive economic and demographic data.
Their twitter account is very active and informative
Something like 80% of all news articles are negative, and major news companies know that negative news is more likely to be clicked on, so that guides their business model
This website seeks to counteract the pessimism.
The OT lounge seems as a whole to be extremely cynical, with a significant amount of posters here firmly believing they will pass away in a world worse than the one their parents left.
Such corrosive, incorrect, and malignant sentiments must be corrected.

Negaive headlines get much more attention than positive. The more disgusting or sordid, the more clicks and viewers
