Had the same thing happen to my Tahoe a few years. It took the NOPD 8 hours to get to my house and write a report for insurance purposes

Happened to my brothers new Tahoe in Dallas. Nice neighborhood. Left on 4 blocks. Police said it happens so much they just take report over the phone.
