You have to be pro-life with a statement like this.

Wait a second. So a guy impregnates a girl, and the girl is then preggers with twins. But one of the twins was made from the other twin and not the man who impregnated the girl

Apparently according to the story the man who impregnated the girl only did the physical act of impregnation, but the genetic code that was passed on was actually his twin brother's, whom he absorbed in the womb before he himself was born.

There are cases of this where DNA from the same host actually fails to match.

quote:

In 2002, Lydia Fairchild was denied public assistance in Washington state when DNA evidence showed that she was not related to her children. A lawyer for the prosecution heard of a human chimera in New England, Karen Keegan, and suggested the possibility to the defense, who were able to show that Fairchild, too, was a chimera with two sets of DNA.

quote:

Lydia Fairchild is an American woman who exhibits chimerism, with two different sets of DNA present in her body. She was pregnant with her third child when she and the father of her children, Jamie Townsend, separated. When Fairchild applied for child support in 2002, she was requested to provide DNA evidence that Townsend was the father of her children. While the results showed Townsend was certainly the father of the children, the DNA tests indicated that she was not their mother.

This resulted in Fairchild's being taken to court for fraud for claiming benefits for other people's children or taking part in a surrogacy scam. Hospital records of her prior births were disregarded. Prosecutors called for her two children to be taken into care. As time came for her to give birth to her third child, the judge ordered a witness be present at the birth. This witness was to ensure that blood samples were immediately taken from both the child and Fairchild. Two weeks later, DNA tests indicated that she was not the mother of that child either.

When you think about it, this is the greatest cock block of all. No matter how many times you dip your wick, it is the absorbed twin that gets to drop the load.

"When my mother was pregnant with me, they did an ultrasound and found she was having twins. When they did another ultrasound a few weeks later, they discovered that I had adsorbed the other fetus. Do I regret this? No, I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby."

Why the shock? This has happened before.

That's pretty wild. This must only be possible if you were going to have a fraternal twin. I thought identical twins had the same "genetic code" as you put it. Meaning, if you and your identical brother both had a kid with the same woman, the two kids would be full siblings from a genetic standpoint.

I just don't get it.

So the sperm produced by his body actually carries the DNA of the twin brother he absorbed in the womb?

This is bizarre.

Holy shite! I wonder if anyone was ever released from death row because their saliva or blood DNA didn't match the sperm from the rape kit.

Or maybe found not guilty. I don't think they take sperm to show a match to sperm, I think they just draw blood.

There was a Law & Order: SVU or CSI episode about this. Guy was a serial rapist or something and they could never pin it on him because the rape kits had his seminal chimera DNA that was different from his blood DNA. Truth is stranger than fiction.
