After looking at the menu, I kind of agree. I haven’t been yet because it’s packed every time I’m in the area, but Turkey and the Wolf is a sandwich shop that makes interesting and good sandwiches. Whether or not they are the best depends on who you ask.

I have been putting potato chips on ham and turkey sandwiches since I was a kid. That is staple on the boat while fishing.

It's Mason's schtick, no one is going to do an exact something like that.

Plenty of other places do stupid food every now and then though.

Are you dim? Lester and I have never agreed on anything going back to his days of defending Smoke Laval in 2006.

I would not go to that restaurant because of their politics, just like I've given up my Saints season tickets that I had since 1997 because of their politics. But, as my first post said, most other conservatives are big mouths that can't even put their supposed principles ahead of their desire to sit on their asses on Sundays watching a product that pumps the latest leftist drivel.

Lester Earl would argue with himself on here just to get that post count up daily. There is a reason he is approaching 300,000 posts

His schtick is stupid and does not appeal to me. He’s parlayed it in other ways & it has caught on, good for him.

I just like the food & tip my hat to the concept. It’s not something everyone can execute

Cowbell comes to mind. But I'm sure you'll make some other excuse for how they manged to go from a hot name in NOLA to closed
Reread my post. I'm not defending those leftist clowns. I'm lambasting the conservatives who say stuff like "Go woke, go broke" but still tune into the NFL, NBA, Disney, etc. Nobody has gone broke because our side can not put their principles into action. They are weak.

There are plenty more examples than Cowbell though. People have gone broke with their nonsense. Yea, no one is leaving the NFL in large numbers, but that doesn't mean it never happens. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're claiming, but I don't think I am.

He has paid for and received a ton of free PR. Ignoring that in his success story is disingenuous.

Successful restaurants usually do

Not sure why I imply that is, or should be, ignored

I've never heard of Cowbell that I know of. I'm talking about significant numbers. When the left boycotts, corporations shite their britches and fall in line. When the right says they'll boycott corporations don't even notice.

You want to clean up some of this cultural rot? The right has to fight fire with fire and boycott just like the left. Until that happens the cultural decay will continue.

Yeah that is kind of the point. He takes comfort food, old school staples, and stoner food, and tries to elevate it a bit.

His food is good for the most part. He's a total douche, but the food there is good.

They have been lazy the past two years though and the current menu reflects that.

So you ignore examples like Chick Fil A?

The media control is the issue, not who is less full of shite when it comes to not using products they don't "agree with"

Because his entire restaurant/schtick is a result of PR. Without the press no one would mention the place.

PR is important, but for TatW that is all they have.

Chick Fil A?

quote:

THE CEO of Chick-Fil-A shined a black rapper’s shoes on Sunday and said white people should feel ashamed for “our silence.”

Speaking on a panel discussion at the Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, with Christian rapper Lecrae and Louie Giglio, the church’s founder, Dan Cathy said of racial injustice: "Most of us, white people, we're out-of-sight, out-of-mind oblivious to it.”

Cathy, the son of Chick-Fil-A founder S Truett Cathy, added: "We cannot let this moment pass."

"Our silence is so huge at this time. We cannot be silent. Somebody has to fight and God has so blessed our city, but it’s shameful how we let things get so out of whack.”

What about Chick FIL A?
