What part of "Politicizing this event" did you miss?

Again, preventative measures that both sides agree on are political. I’m sure normal people everywhere can agree there is an issue, we just need to be able to rationally get to common ground without trampling rights. How long after a 2nd grade class gets shot is it before we can talk about things to help prevent the next one?

And here’s another one.

The talking points must be out.

I advocate abolishing rights that do far more harm than good.

Which I propose the 2A qualifies for.

there are plenty of cautionary tales of an unarmed society. 3rd reich, USSR, Cuba, Mexico, Maoist China, North Korea, etc.

Using emotion based on one event isn't how rational people solve issues.

Its how reactionaries solve issues.

One Event?

There was literally a white supremacist mass shooting one week ago, and over 230 school shootings in the last decade or so.

"one event" this is not, and labeling discussion of solutions as "emotional" is a cop out response from someone clearly lacking the articulation skills to do any better

So you’re probably not wrong

Well, you are advocating for stripping the Constitutionally guaranteed rights away from law abiding citizens for nothing more than to appease your own bleeding heart.

Sure. But at least wait until the bodies are in the ground to pull run them through the streets.. You have plenty of data.

Based on what I am seeing most school shooters are under the age of 21, white and fatherless, and most mass shooters are black. If we want to have some honest discussions, we should start there as well.

Yep. What gets me is everytime something like this happens left wingers immediately start screaming "gun control!" which is absolutely a political action, yet when pro-gun folks respond by saying they don't think they should lose their 2nd Amendment rights the same lefties whine how dare they make it political.

It's bullshite and just another example of them trying to shut down discussion so they can steal other people's rights unopposed. frick that and them, my rights are just as good as theirs

Everyone should take a moment of silence to honor those millions of babies that have had their lives prematurely snuffed out (murdered) before drawing a breath all so their whore mothers could continue on with their irresponsible sex.

While gun action shouldn't be off the table, it highlights how dishonest these people are. They refuse to look at factors that actually cause behaviors.

i wonder if we compared who posted in this thread vs the Buffalo shooter thread and the NY Subway shooter thread, what that would look like…

i don’t remember a lot of gun law / gun control debate in those threads, if my memory serves me.

Strange how irresponsible people bash those who bring up their folly.

Since you've lumped me in a direction I have mentioned mental health care and investing in education several times in threads today. You're being dishonest.

We spend more per pupil than almost any country in the World.

"We need more investment in education" is laughable. Do better with the incredible amount already invested.

You cant educate people who don't value education, or have the capacity for it. Do better.
