My wife is a Respiratory Therapist and she works in the COVID Unit at a Hospital in Shreveport. She has to go to the CDC meetings everyday and then go and help with intubating COVID patients. She sent this link to me and I thought I would pass it along. NY Lung Dr. in the Covid Unit

There is a link in the article to watch the video the Dr. made. It's 53 minutes long but worth the time. It it very reassuring.

This is great and all....if of course there was any hand sanitizer located near me and available to the general public.

Wash hands/Use Sanitizer
Stay away from people for prolonged periods(more than 15 minutes)
Stop touching your face
You don't need to wear N95 masks but surgery masks are ok to wear.

Alot of the same ol same ol.

1. This isn’t true. The virus aerosolizes with coughing and talking and then stays in the air for 3 hours.
2. Not wearing an N95, especially when intubating, is just asking to catch the ‘rona

Yeah right. Doctors make more money when people are sick. He’s probably telling us the opposite of what to do to not get sick

they aren't wrong, you know?

we all have a non-cancellable appointment with the Grim Reaper. We just don't know the date.

You've literally been dying since the day you squirted out of your mother's birth canal.

The main way you'll catch this is by spending a minimum of 15-30 minutes around someone who is coughing or sneezing and you touch your face, which transfers the droplets to your eyes, nose, or mouth.

There is no reason to be scared to be around people. Just keep your distance, wash your hands, and don't touch your face.

Well hopefully Joe and Josephine Public won't be tubing folks on a regular basis (or at all), because that's the audience for this guy's message, and it was excellent. It is empowering to people who are scared, worried and wondering who to listen to. It is a great video, and I've sent it to my friends that are not in healthcare.

In no way does he suggest that N95 mask (and the other components of full and correctly donned PPE) is not necessary in aerosolizing situations such as intubations, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, bronchs, sustained close quarter contact with symptomatic persons, etc.

All due respect, I think I'll listen to the medical doctor.
