If it makes you feel better, one of my college students just took a break from the final exam because “writing under pressure stresses him out.” He was in tears and said he needed some fresh air.

You making them kids write gay arse poetry huh?

So going back to the OP, a couple thoughts.

$18/hr isn't terrible if you're in your early 20s. shite, when I started out in pharma advertising I was pulling down about $22k a year (but I did get overtime, so I had that going for me).

You say you own 400 acres and a cabin. Can you give the specific details of that acquisition? What was it listed for? How did you pay for it all so that you already own it free and clear? How long have you had it?

Where do you live? (trying to get a sense for a $1200 one bedroom and how crazy or not crazy that is)

I'll hang up and listen.

He’s in Dallas. Rent is normal. Maybe on the high end. Our first place was $1600 for 2 beds in McKinney.

Serious question...are you guys implying that $1200 is a lot for a one bedroom or not a lot?

It’s right at the average for Dallas. My complex starts at $1250 for 836 sq ft

I wasn't implying that it was either high or low.....I was just stating that was what he;s paying because thats what he has posted.

So you inherited it? In that case it seems just a bit misleading to put that out there as some indicator of your personal success.
