I am well aware of that, but don’t get out there acting like there is law and order in the parish.

The mayor, the council members, the DA are at fault for not raising hell about what really goes on. These judges should be outed if we really want a zero tolerance policy in our parish.

we’re actively taking measures to address this pressing issue.

Specifically what measures did she take? Exactly what did this ditchpig do to help, and since she started doing it, can someone list any positive results?

Shop owner likely supports and votes all these folks in.

Bingo.

This same shop owner last year sent a memo out to black owned businesses downtown (or at least, ones he thought were black owned) trying to get them to form some sort of a union or coalition or pact or some shite to support each other and negotiate rent together or some bs.

I also have it on good authority that he was being evicted for not paying rent. The urban succulents and pencil holder businesses just weren't bringing in the cash.

BUT... there are plenty of businesses running from downtown bc of the issues he is pointing out.

It pains me to say as someone heavily invested in downtown, but the best times for down town Baton Rouge are behind us. Maybe my kids will see the cycle in which it makes a resurgence, but b/t the office space vacancy rate driven by Covid in both the public and private sectors, the crime, lack of leadership, diversity of businesses ( too many bars at one time ) etc it is done for the foreseeable future

It took brpd 2 hours to respond to a dude breaking in through my living room window. When the cop did finally show up, he told me, in all seriousness, to call 911 if the person came back and they would be right over.

Were you home? Was your response to a guy trying to break into your home to call the Brpd?

I’m just trying to discern a scenario where I observe a dude breaking into my home with me and/ or my family in it that doesn’t involve a couple of 9mm hollow points being returned to the gentleman for his efforts.
