props for opening up and sharing with us, you could have tucked and turned but you turned this thread into an interesting look into who you are. you're alright in my book GN

I have nothing to hide

I am not perfect but I am proud of where I am in my life. It's been interesting and I still feel my best days are ahead.

I'll record some footage of my move and drive across America coming up starting Sunday. Should be an interesting few days.

No. Hiding nothing. Just giving her enough details to where you can still have that aura of mystique around you.

I mean, unless you are a pro athlete, actor, a professional DJ, professional musician, or have some other kind of rare high status career, what you do for a living is not going to impress a woman. It can only hurt you in her eyes.

When women ask what I do I just say "Broadcast TV". I don't say what I do at the station.

Sounds like you're ashamed of you career choice

I'll drive by, not sure if I will drive through. I don't think its directly on I-80 but a bit off the path.

I am meeting some friends in Cedar Rapids IA(where I used to live) that night.

I would always win shite like spelling bees and geography bees. I had the highest SAT and ACT scores in my grade. I only applied to 2 schools, TCU and Rice and got accepted to both.

I mean its the internet and you can make up anything. But this is for real. I was always the smartest kid in my class. I took 8th grade Algebra in 1st grade. I took 10th grade pre-calculus in 3rd grade. I had to be taken out of my elementray class and driven by a school member to the middle/high schools.

All that and you're a radio DJ?

So alpha bro.

i don't see how saying you're in IB, mergers & acquisitions, or something like that would hurt, assuming she's not totally ignorant trailer trash.

You're generalizing to all women. That's a mistake. Some women want constant attention, some are inbetween and some want to hunt, as you say.

You can still be yourself while still shrouding yourself in some level of mystery and mystique. It's a reason I deleted my social media. Women are more intrigued by mysterious men they don't know much about

C'mon. This is silly. You're over thinking it. You see a girl you're interested in, you talk to her. If y'all hit it off, you call her for a date. If she wants to talk, you talk for as long as you like.

Don't go through north Omaha though. North O is a shithole that makes Seattle look classy.

It's not exactly what I planned, but I have finally gotten to the level of what I do where I am starting to make decent money with still a lot of room to grow. Here in Seattle I was just one member of the department under a supervisor, when I move next week I will be the director of the department. The one at the top of the chain. I'll be able to execute my own vision and do things the way I want to do them. Oh and I will finally have my own office.

The position I do actually requires the most brainpower of all positions at a broadcast news station. Yet most people don't even know the position exists.

I talk on the phone with them unless we have to text, as in meeting up at an lsu game with no service. I don't do the how aid your day going chats because I make it understood I'm at work and don't have time for that. I will for a few texts and a call before going to sleep, assuming we aren't together. I'm not the guy that blows up their phones

I'm not sure how I feel about vaguely answering what you do unless it really sucks but you can always make it sound better

I'd honestly narrow that down to 3. I was on a retreat recently and there was an Orthodox Jew there. My first thought: Brooklyn. Bet my roommate 20 bucks that it would be Brooklyn specifically and he could have the rest of the country/world. He took me up on it. I won the bet.

I know a Jew when I see one. Being raised around a Jewish family, I know their culture well, and them for it.
