I think turtles and tortoises frick a lot. I saw some fricking at the Richmond zoo a few years ago and saw some fricking at the Audubon zoo a couple months ago. And I couldn’t tell which one, but one of them was loud. Loud grunting noises from a tortoise having sex which could be heard from the top of monkey hill.

First of all those are sulcatas which is an African tortoise . They were not "doing it" but rather being aggressive to show dominance.
My wife and I have African leopard tortoises which are smaller than the Sulcatas, but are very similar.
You would have seen his "you know what" if they were doing it.
A tortoise lives on land and a turtle lives in the water. A terrapin lives in both.
