I mostly eat fresh whole foods I cook at home where my body can better signal to me when I'm full than the empty processed calories at Cane's. I eat fast food like maybe 4 times a year, I think I'll be OK. But thank you for the concern.

Yeah, I'm a former fatass. Lost 45lbs since the beginning of the pandemic, have kept it off.
And one of those four times was last week, not last night.

They’ve raised their prices like 3 or 4 times just since COVID. They don’t really control the quality/size of chicken from the vendors anymore (because it’s cheaper)
They’ve cheaped out in a lot of areas. They’ve gone very corporate. That being said it’s still better in Louisiana than anywhere else.

Everyone talks about the calories but it’s more than that. Salt, Fats, Sugar will shorten your lifespan as well. So while your son may not be gaining weight (which you can see is not happening and thus minimize letting him eat so much fast food), other parts of his long term health are being affected (which you can’t see is happening and thus again minimize letting him eat so much fast food).
It’s like the four C’s for diamonds. The vast majority focus on carat. How big it is. (Calories). But the other 3 C’s are just as important. Focusing on just size is ignorant and you get taken for a ride.

My wife got caught up at work so I left work early to go get my son for his practice, didn’t have food ready because I didn’t think I was picking him up. Limited time so drive through made the most sense, clearly we don’t eat Canes often since I was shocked by the price. That makes me poor and lazy
Totally a reasonable task to accomplish in 5 minutes while rushing to his practice
