It was a military charter, a lot of them coming home from deployment.

Or 142 people just got in for free. Would be a hell of a promo. Call it the skynyrd clause.

Everybody live, except pets in cargo hold. Caught plenty fish near the end of that runway back in 1987

Weather has been weird lately. We had an aborted landing at PIT on Thursday.

I had to get a snap shot of our flight path. We tried to approach from the east, then made a hard turn to the NE and circled around Youngstown for a while until the storm passed, then landed from the west.

I wonder if the people sitting by the emergency exits knew what to do, and helped like they said they would.

I fly 50 times a year, and was on a flight last year out of Love field during a thunderstorm, I swear I’ve never been so scared. The flight attendants were even screaming.
We sat on the tarmac for at 45 minutes before taking off.
During the climb, I wondered if the pilots regretted taking off in such poor conditions. I really thought I was going to die.

Been there and done that minus the attendants screaming but plus a Russian girl puking in a bag next to me.

Is that not the jet that’s had issues lately?

No. The ones having problems are the 737-Max. They're grounded. This one must have been an earlier version.

Any idea if these were Guantanamo prisoners? Or military staff charter?
