I really wish I had that kind of money to just shite away on something that will literally be rot within the next week.

A banana duct-taped to a wall sold for $120,000 at Miami's Art Basel this week — it may be the most talked-about artwork at this year's event. Two of the three editions have been sold, according to Perrotin, the contemporary art gallery behind the work. The last one is expected to go for $150,000.

Theres an old joke in art.
If it doesn't sell, raise the price.
I am in the wrong business.

And today some guy who probably posts here grabbed the banana off the wall and ate it.

You left out the best part.

I love that while he’s eating it and telling people it’s performance art you can hear a lady in the video tell him what he’s doing “is not art”. Bitch you just believed a banana duct taped to the wall was art. You don’t get a say in what qualifies as art.

More like money storage. Keep it in a tax free zone and you are covered.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS
Somebody got paid off. This is how they do it. Do y'all REALLY think the $65M for a book advance and the $50M from Netflix Bigfoot and fricknutz got was really because of their creative skills and potential?

It's like the Jose uribe cards that were being sold for tens of thousands of dollars to launder drug money
