A bad pass by the 1970 Buffalo Bills brought us the Kardashians

“REMINDER: The Buffalo Bills barely lost a game in 1970 by missing on a bad pass for a touchdown. The loss allowed them to get the pick in the draft, where they took O.J. Simpson. O.J. lived in Buffalo where he met his wife Nicole and then allegedly killed her. He then hired Robert Kardashian to be his lawyer. They won the case, making the Kardashian’s somewhat famous. Then Kim drops the sex tape and becomes famous. So basically the 1970 Buffalo Bills are the reason we have to deal with the Kardashian’s today, because if they would have won that one game, they wouldn’t have had the pick they took O.J. with, so he would have never met Nicole, and thus never had the chance to kill her, preventing the entire Kardashian family from ever being even a sliver of a subject in modern culture. Damn you Buffalo Bills. Damn you,”

This meme has been disproven. O.J. and Nicole met in Beverly Hills while she was working at a night club.

What is it about the Buffalo Bills and players who kill their wives?

OJ wasn't the only one

So you are saying that Ronald Goldman should have also sued Ralph Wilson as well? Who was the receiver that did not catch that pass?

This might be the worst attempt at Journalism I've ever seen. Simpson was drafted in 1969 while he was married to his first wife.
How many morons are going to be walking around saying this?

It's still funny even if it's technically incorrect.

Although it would work just as well and probably better with the correct details.

This doesn't make sense. OJ played for the Bills in 1969 and had a disappointing rookie season. A bad pass in 1970 would have affected the 1971 draft and he had already played two seasons.

I don't think he met Nicole in Buffalo either. He had a black wife before he hooked up with her in retirement.

Blame Ron Mcdole. Per Wiki:

quote:

On August 23, 1968, the Bills suffered a blowout preseason loss to the Houston Oilers. On August 26, Collier put the Bills through a 40-play scrimmage. During the scrimmage, Ron McDole fell on Kemp's right knee and injured it, forcing Kemp to sit out the entire 1968 season.[70] The Bills went 1–12–1 without Kemp.[71]

Kemp doesn't get hurt and the Bills don't suck. OJ ends up somewhere else which butterflies him meeting Nicole.

The Saints held OJ to only 74 yards in his record-setting 2000 yd season.

This has nothing to do with the OP, but was pretty cool when it happened.

OJ was born in San Francisco, was raised around there, went to college in SoCal, and wound up having to go to the frigid tundra of Buffalo, NY. The shock of that made him crazy. Blame Mother Nature for this one. Football didn't give him CTE, the cold and eight feet of snow froze his brain.

I just saw a clip of one of Eddie's shows from the 80s when some woman shouts something out. Charlie immediately yells "Shut up, bitch!" and everyone including Eddie was laughing hard.
