That gives more evidence that the main factor in someone showing symptoms is obesity.

People in prison generally aren’t fat.

Just like so few homeless people or athletes showed any symptoms. They’re not fat.

That Ohio prison test is mind boggling though. They tested 2300 and got 2028 positive results? Can that be right?

Maybe this virus doesn’t even cause sickness. Maybe the virus has been around forever but just hadn’t been noticed before and the people who did get sick got the flu.

No it isn't.

Or rather, not to this extent.

I wouldn't have bat an eye at 30 or even 50%.

Well, a lot of the antibody testing is suggesting that there were 10x more infected than confirmed positive. Some have even suggested more than that. Who knows at this point, but this is an important issue that warrants serious scientific follow up.

I understand being skeptical, but it's not just one state or one system reporting these numbers. There are 4 states included in this report, and their data seems consistent between states. Pretty incredible if true.

So you have to observe the system for the reason why.

Its fricking prisons. Medical ailments probably don't get registered unless they are at deaths door.

We already knew 50-70% of individuals who get infected have mild symptoms. Suddenly claiming 96% is not only mild, but no symptoms at all is absurd.

There is a myriad of studies that the clinical attack rate is higher than that, much less mild illness.

Pretty sure it's new to humans.

Well given that it was previously roughly estimated that only around 20% of infected were seeking treatment and subsequent testing....this isn;t really a surprise to anyone except the casual followers who thought cases were ever claimed to be total infected.

Has literally nothing to do with the claim that 96% of infected having no symptoms.

Are they using the C.D.C. tests that had Covid already on them?

Alabama is primarily testing people with symptoms and only has about a 9% positive rate. If op figures are right and Bama figured are right, population density is clearly the prevalent factor in outbreaks.
