I’m not a Yankees fan but my goodness if you have the time watch this documentary. It is one of the best I’ve seen.
LINK
The doc is about the people of New York and how the World Series that year got their minds off 9/11. Those games in yankee stadium were incredible. Bush throwing out the first pitch like a bad arse. Back to back come backs. It’s great, highly recommend.
I miss the patriotism of those days.

That looks like a good watch. Thanks for the PSA.
It still exists, you just don't see it until something tragic happens, unfortunately. Look at how people reacted to the Boston Marathon Bombing in 2013. Obviously not nearly the same scale as 9/11, but people came together then and showed a whole hell of a lot of resilience and patriotism then.

If you lived along the Coast during Katrina, the 2005 LSU football season accomplished the same end.

To this day, I still can’t believe the Yankees lost that series, on a blown save by the greatest closer of all time no less.

Anybody watch it yet? Thoughts?

the sad thing is that in this day and age the second plane wouldn't even have hit yet before most of the mainstream media would be blaming "white supremacy" and spewing anti-American propaganda. they would bend over backwards to defend the terrorist.

One of my best friends back then was from NY and a massive Yankees fan. I remember him saying that Game 7 was the only time that a Red Sox fan told him that he felt terrible over a Yankees loss.

It’s offensive and threatening to immigrants and Muslims. Those people should be considered too /s
