Should have given her life in prison!! Which according to my calculations, would be approximately 9 months

If you are >100, you should be legally permitted to murder someone.
If you are killed by someone over 100, you deserved it.

They release 80 year old murderers all the time because they're just too old. There gets to be a point where you're just too old to go to jail. Just like Brooks and old Red

I had an 87-year-old patient who killed his wife. They sent him home to live with his daughter. He had lots of medical problems and the authorities did not want to take over his treatment.

It can be a pragmatic solution. If she is of poor health she'll cost a significant amount of taxpayer money on medical bills. She was probably looking for a free nursing home for all intents and purposes.

Or maybe she just wanted the money that she believed the bank had shorted her and took an extreme measure to try to get it.
