When I was in high school (class of'89) we used to use "fubar" a lot which was recycled WWII slang, although none of us knew it at the time.
Thought it was something original and unique to our times. Dumb arse kids!
I remember "cool beans" also, but that originally came from Cheech and Chong in the 70's.

I seem to recall TWSS being an 80's expression way before Michael Scott made it mainstream.

Still trying to figure out what Bouf is...I remember “beef” referencing an insult (as well as bake/burn/cut-down), usually said by third party instigaters. Person A to person B says, “you’re moms a whore”. Person C says “Ohhhhhh, Beeef”. Maybe you mean buff/buffed, as in “jacked/bowed up” (muscular)? Is this just a Cajun spelling of one of these words, or slang that I’m not aware of?
