80s/90s kids, were you a BK fan or an LA Gear fan?

I had this pair of BKs in the late 80s. I only had one pair, but I wore them until they fell apart. Grew older, I became a fan of Nike and Air Jordan's, but I did have one pair of LA Gear. They were too freaking heavy, though.

Stan Smith, KSwiss, Reebok. Shoes weren't really ghetto or a status symbol in my circles. That's what Polo was for.

I used to wear BK and K Swiss.

I remember people in bigger cities saying if you wore BK you were in a gang.

My mom refused to buy me expensive shoes until my feet quit growing. I had Pony's.

I had both but I preferred BK. I was really into big high tops back then. Skidz and BK were a winning combination for me.

Neither, I had Stan Smith's and my sisters had Tretorns. I didn't wear tennis shoes much though, unless I was actually playing tennis or some other athletic endeavor. Mostly wore Weejun's without socks or Sperry's.
