I don't like pit bulls but I also don't like govt telling people what kind of pets they can own

Maybe if your dog hurts or kills someone the owner is charged with the crime....then people would think a little more about owning them

You better add these two to the top of the list.

Other dogs may bite, but pitbulls kill.

We don't talk about Dobermans anymore because they pale in comparison. A pit has kill a kid every month this year.

I was walking my dog the other day when I saw a labradoodle trying to jump the fence to attack us. He was growling and just going crazy. The dog has gotten out before and attacked other dogs.

Absolutely nothing reports this claim....

Banning a breed is not the solution. POS people will just move on to the next breed that they can mistreat and fight.

Agreed. What would be a reasonable charge?

Dobermans aren't as popular as they used to be. They certainly aren't popular today among a certain demographic that typically owns pitbulls.

They are aggressive dogs. Any dog can snap at any moment if they are outside of their comfort zone. Pitbulls just do the most damage because of their biological structure .

If people would stop breeding them & bringing them around children, they would seem a lot less worse than what they seem now.

How many careless owners out there have these dogs just to say they're tough or to wall around with one like they're big & bad, when in reality, don't know how to take care of it & how to raise it so that it would be OK to bring around others. Can't stand those hood rat fricks. Not taking up for the dogs but when you're bred to fight and fighting is in your blood, fighting is what you're going to do. Point blank.

If I had a vote though, I'd say no. But that doesn't mean leave them in an unattended area with children or others who can't defend themselves. A lot of this stuff is blown up more than it should be, while at the same time there are many missing details. You're telling me a dog who has been "a good dog all his life, never messed with anyone", just wakes up one day decides to take you or a family member out. Foh. There's always more than what comes out in cases like this dealing with these dogs. Hell sometimes it isn't a pit bull, it "kind of looks like a pit bull", and "attacked". Therefore it is a "pit bull".

I mean charged as you did it yourself

Fluffy kills a kid, you are charged with 2nd degree murder

Some people don't have the option. I guess their kids will just have to live in fear and not play outside.

That's a cute excuse

There is a misconception that they are way stronger than other breeds. They are strong...but I think rank 2nd or 3rd in most strength categories, including their bite.

However, of course if a pitbull attacks it will do more damage than a small breed. That's common sense. No argument there.

I said this yesterday, but I'll say it again: what makes a pitbull dangerous is their build. Lower center of gravity and an athletic, muscular body means they can get you to the ground and keep you there, making it harder for you to defend yourself and get the dog off of you.

Nope. Our cops need target practice so they can shoot people who ram into their cars after being instructed to drive drunk.
