Agree though

I don't see why this isn't the case already. People need to be held responsible for their dog's actions.

Most people don't even know what a fricking pit bull terrier is. Anything they can't identify is considered a "pit bull".

It's common to hear people that adopt dogs say, "I don't know exactly what it is, but I think it has pit in it."

Using Dogsbite.org is like me using a pit bull rescue's website as proof that it is always the owner to blame, not the breed. Both have agendas and are heavily biased.

Ban these dogs. Kill them all. Run them over with your cars.

This!

My neighbors have a rescue pit who is pure muscle but won't do anything other than get in my lap and get bossed around by my cranky golden.

My dog is a rescue, and he probably has a little pit in him. He's such a baby. He was abused so he's scared of strangers and I know he would never hurt a human because he avoids them at all costs

I don't know about you, but I saw plenty of bullmastiffs, rotts, and shepherd mixes responsible for deaths.

I just said that

He just has that chest but not really the head or tail.

Well, I'm not saying it isn't true. It's just that people don't seem to realize that the face doesn't really tell you all that much.

And, believe it or not, true pits have narrow snouts; and their heads aren't really that wide.

Other dogs may bite, but pitbulls kill. We don't talk about Dobermans anymore because they pale in comparison. A pit has kill a kid every month this year.

More at risk from getting killed by a cop than a pit.

I'm reading a list of dead people, with links to articles. I don't care about a list of people not killed by dogs.

Actually that means in the wrong situation your dog is very likely to attack a human, especially a child who oftentimes cannot understand when a dog is afraid of them.

I'm having a hard time finding where they DNA tested all of the dogs involved in the attacks to find out they were pit bulls.

Banning pitbulls isn't the answer. Killing them with fire is.

Especially if he gets cornered and doesn't think he can escape. An abused dog afraid of people is a bad situation.

That's like DNA testing OJ to see if he was black. The personnel that deal with animal attacks are professionals in the field

institute the death penalty for any pit bull owner who's dog bits or attacks someone else.

I have a full blooded red nose pit. I was scared of them and was not a fan until my girlfriend came home with one.

Best dog I've ever been around, which is more of a testament to her training. Very loyal and also a huge wimp. Loves smaller dogs and is very gentle.

I think a lot of you that want them dead would have a change of heart after being around one with a good home and good training.
