another interesting battle site is the island of Corrigador a couple hours boat ride from Manila harbor philapines . it is beautifully maintained as a historical site by the us I believe. the bombed out gun emplacements are left historically accurate and the violence is well displayed by the deep shell fragment gouges in the massive artillery pieces.
if you are ever in manila a day trip to corrigador is well worth it
