try clausandclaus.com. My son rented from them near LSU and it was a very decent place near the south gates.

I lived on Park in the garden district in a 1 bed apartment for $700 a month. Also in another 1 bed apartment on kleinert and perkins for $775 a month. Just drive around the garden district area and look for rent signs.

Get a real estate agent to show him all his choices on the MLS. It doesn't cost him anything

Can he bump it up by about $30. He can stay at Place Du Plantier. When I left it was going back down to around 760/month. They have a tendency to change every year. When I stayed in 2014 it was 785, then in 2016 it became 815.

tell him to ask around downtown in those new apartments, a bunch are gov't subsidized

My son just left Afton Oaks. $750/month for a 1 bedroom.
