good luck with that

Fortunately for the normal folks on the board the racist are pretty easy to spot and their racism is thinly vailed

Ok

There's not a single neighborhood in city limits that is majority black that does not have a problem with crime and to get away from it you gotta pay $$ or get lucky.

Good enough?

Why? It's a good enough term for some people to use as an excuse for said crime and defending the status quo.

How would someone with "culcha" express wanting to live in a place without culcha.

Looking for a place surrounded by bland potato salad?

Tell him to check out The Villas on S. Acadian. I just moved out of there a year ago. I paid $650 for a two bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom, dining room, lots of closet space, and wood floors. Very quiet neighborhood in a cool area. utilities were about $100 total each month.

Highly recommend

El Cid for real.
Was here a few years back.
Awesome.

Even had a dishwasher and central air and heat and walking distance to every thing worth it.

$450-$600 month

You can rent one of those dorm rooms at Swaggart's church on Bluebonnet. I think they are 500 with all utilities included. No kitchen though.

I rented a one bedroom off Brightside a year ago for $650. It was small and not updated, but it wasn't ghetto. It was gated and quiet.

I haven't looked in the Jefferson/Drusilla area in a while, but they used to have a few places down Jefferson for around $750.

These are very cheap, but it is a toss up what you get. They're old, and many have window units and detached appliances strung about the kitchen.

My friend's parents actually own a place in there that they were able to do up really nicely, but it is still obviously old. The foyer area that you share with the other people in your building to get into your own apartment was creepy and run-down, but I guess that is normal in bigger cities.

I was paying $750 a month in Capitol View back in 2010. My wife was renting a place on 8th Street and paying $550 a month.
I mean, it's been a while, but I can't imagine that some of those older apartment complexes in Spanish Town are charging that much. And there isn't much crime there outside of opportunity shite, like if you leave valuable looking items in your car overnight. (shite, you do that in Beverly Hills, some dicklicker will bust your car windows to steal what's inside.)
