Yup, no guarantees, but you can increase your odds by finding someone who exhibits integrity and seems to live deliberately.

Also avoid septum rings and girls who assert they know how to solve societal ailments.

No real data, just a bunch of dating site algorithms.

And, would a cheater even be honest on a survey?

Okay fair enough.

Which career field produces the most infidelity among women then? I mean there has to be one at the top and one at the bottom. That’s how numbers work.

I’m just using ChatGPT.

ChatGPT doesn’t seem to understand that filing for divorce doesn’t mean that the person filing caused the divorce.

How many times does "irreconcilable differences" mean that the woman filing got tired of trying to stay in a relationship with an apathetic husband?

It’s actually very clear that its numbers are who initiated the divorce, not who caused it.

I took it to heart and learned from them.I had my hobbies of hunting and fishing but I kept up the yard and helped with housework, washing clothes, etc. Also did most of shopping as she hated going to the store. She made shopping lists, and I went and got it. She never complained about me not doing my part.

This all works and is great if you have a partner who appreciates what you contribute to the marriage and isn’t afraid to show it. Speaking for a “friend” but if you do all that and it’s still never enough, or you get no positive benefits from the marriage, over time the man will stop all the things he was doing. Which is where “my friend” is.

Then its numbers are meaningless. Why start this thread?

Why would they be meaningless?

You could draw several different conclusions from the data

1) Women at about 40% clip have poor judgement when it comes to choosing a partner

2) Many women have unrealistic expectations of marriage

3) The majority of men are shitty people and deserve to have their wives file for divorce

Why not? Most people would agree that divorce is not an ideal outcome.

Pretty high probability that those conclusions would be flawed without context…which is why I (and others) are responding.

It’s not. But how exactly does throwing random, non-contextual “facts” on to a message board help?

Plenty of context was added throughout the course of the thread on specific reasons people file for divorce

I’ll just flat out ask (so we stop going in circles). What are your thoughts?

You posted this in your OP:

I’m guessing you’ve done some chewing and pondering. Do you have anything to share?

Well I’m not sure I have the full answer. But if I had to guess it would be a combination of the 3 reasons I listed above. Personally I think society is having a tough time adjusting to a bunch of technological advances going back 60-70 years

1) The easy availability of birth control and abortion giving women almost complete control of their reproductive systems

2) The rise of internet porn which is extremely damaging to men in particular.

3) Social media giving people, particularly women imo, an unrealistic view of what real life in general and marriage in particular because of the specific topic at hand.

4) The rise of women in higher education and in the workplace.

It isn’t meaningless. We know why women initiate it so often, they benefit greatly

Not surprising at all, says the victim of a wife with a Bachelor’s degree initiated divorce.
