More than half of pit bull deaths involve family members, are you saying they were somewhere they weren’t supposed to be?

Jeez man it was a 7 year old child that jumped the fence not a teen or an adult. A 7 year old will tend to make bad decisions every now and then not thinking he might get killed over it.

Your boy Pecker is a lover of all animals. And I have a special place in my heart for man's best friend. But I understand pedigrees. And I understand the genetics of many of these pitbulls.
Yes, Caesar Milan can rehab these dogs and make them into worthwhile pets. But you're no Caesar Milan. And you won't make these dogs worthwhile pets. It's a breed that doesn't need to exist and is now mainly the used as a living weapon for the trashiest people in our society.
The world would be a better place without these dogs and without their owners. I'm just keeping it one hunnit

The biggest problem with pitbulls is that there are purposely not any papers made available for them. In the dog-fighting world, they keep meticulous papers on pedigrees. But you'll never see these because the dogs that are available to regular people are dogs that couldn't make it in the fighting world (and have bred again). People are buying these dogs and they have no idea what the hell they're getting into. They're trashy and they just know that they want a dog that looks mean.

This is what I came to post. A 7 year ok is just getting to the age of reason. He may not even understand that dogs can be dangerous.
Nobody owns killer dogs to protect themselves from wandering children.

You base your opinion on feelings and bull crap. I will give you a number that is a fact. Less than .1% of pit bulls have attacked/killed/bitten someone based off numbers provided to us. Based off this, it is not rational to ban this breed. It is not rational to say this breed is bad.

And they make up 6% of the dog population in the US yet have accounted for more than 50% of dog related deaths since 1980. More than 70% in 2016. They’re a dangerous breed, particularly around children.
