My wife's cell phone was blowing up last night with participants in an online game . She had allowed seven year old grandson to download the app for the game earlier that day which apparently gains entry into a chat room for participants.

Does not seem like a wise idea for seven year olds to be in a chat room of this type. Is this an over reaction?

I have no idea. He is very into these games on his kindle and apparently got her to allow him to download the app on her phone for this game yesterday.

The game itself is not really my concern so much as possibly being in a chat room with perverts.

Undertale is a single player game, you may want to check what app he downloaded.

Source. I have played it, no chat room from what I remember.

I wouldn't be that worried about perverts seeing as hes 7 yrs old and would need a ride to meet said individuals or else be around a responsible adult at all times. I mean, is he just coming and going as he pleases at 7? I doubt it.

I would be more worried about the salty language and rhetoric thrown around in chatrooms that I wouldnt want my 7 yr old to hear

Read this as 7 year old playing under the table. Yes that seems inappropriate

I would be concerned about him possibly answering quesions that someone might present to him.

As far as he knows, they are "friend's". Not near old enough to be able to differentiate. I say bad. Since the app is on your wife's phone, have you checked the setting of the game/app?

Sounds like pawpaw needs to step up and be man. Take the young chap hunting and fishing so you don't have to be asking such faggotry questions.

To be honest I don't know that much about apps. I only became aware of this when the phone started going nuts .

I do hav ehim in sports and coach his teams but unfortunately I am not with him all the time and he is hooked on playing these games. It does concern me that he could be communicating with unsavory types.

Not 100% for sure, but I just would discourage it. He's a 2nd grader, not a teen, if they are playing, or even older. Check setting to see if you can block the "chat room" option, but if it's integrated into the game, you probably can't. Trust me, my mom will never be fricked by my father, but by teens.....I used to game online. At 7, I would suggest no

Dude, perverts was a general term for people you should avoid. Think about it, would you want oweo chatting with your 7yo?
