You could probably get pretty close to a 2 minute dead hang

Yeah but what if I used to play high school football and just have an extra 40lbs?

What if I used to play high school football, have an extra 40 lbs, and can still do all that crap on the list?

Props for doing the “find out” part and I’m sure you got a hell of a lot farther than I would have

3. Farmer carry bodyweight for 2 minutes

All you MF who say you can do a 2 minute farmer's walk with your body weight are the same MF that can't walk 10 feet and put up the 30lb dumbbells.

I don’t think I could last a minute in the hang. It’s just something I never do and my grip sucks.

I’d guess American males 40+ that can do this is 1-2%

I’d say that’s pretty close

48 in April.
These is easy.

Only way to get in shape is to start.
Time and health are your two most valuable resources

I've been doing pull up for 25 years. Youll be surprised how fast you can build your upper body with just pull ups

1. 10 minute mile - I can do about 6:30
2. Squat your own bodyweight - I barely can.
3. Farmer carry bodyweight for 2 minutes - Easily
4. Complete 5 unbroken pull-ups - I can do about 9
5. Be able to do the sit and raise test - Not sure what this is, but I probably can’t do it.
6. Complete 25 unbroken pushups - I can do 50
7. Dead hang for 2 minutes - I try this periodically. The most I’ve done is 1:40. Someone told me not to grip the bar but just to hang from the fingers. I’ll try that.

I’m 62.

I don’t even think my gym has 135lb dumbbells

Everything else should be fairly routine.

Have you tried that dead hang? I find that very difficult, and I can do everything else except the sit and raise.

I’m happy to bet you on everything on that list, except dead hang and sit and raise. I farmers carry all the time with 160.

Oh, and I won’t bet on squats. I do mine on the Smith to avoid injuring my back. I think I could free squat 175, but I’m not confident enough to bet.
