This particular school only goes up to 5th grade.

Kids normally turn 11 in 5th grade. So obviously this 12 yr. old was either held back (very common) or started school a year late (also very common).

12 y/o me would have ruined that kid for beating up a little girl. Can't believe no one else intervened.

Same here. In the society we live in now though, fighting for any reason, justified or not, is strictly forbidden. It’s sad really, I don’t want to live in a world in which everybody is so fricking passive that they wouldn’t even step in and stop a little girl getting bullied. Repercussions be damned.

The 12 year old is a girl. She has an autistic brother, 9, who aided her in torturing the little girl.

The 12 year old has 5 juvenile counts against her. The other attacker, the 9 year old boy, has been moved to the short yellow bus and special ed classes, instead of being charged.

What's your source for all this?

Don’t think I won’t beat the frick out of a bus driver who obviously let this happen. The driver should be charged with something.

Seems the kids on the buses were more like animals than humans.

I guess kids are not disciplined by the bus driver any longer. I remember my first bus driver when I first started school was an old WWII vet who had a hook for his left hand. He kept a piece of a broom stick with a piece of about 3’ long garden hose on the end. If you messed up on the bus he’d put you in the front seat to his right. If you messed up again, he’d drive with his hook left hand hand while using his right hand to reach back with his broom handle/garden hose to wear your arse out. Needless to say, there weren’t many shenanigans on his bus.

Not really.
I was 11 in the 5th grade. Never failed.
My birthday was in Sept.
I could’ve been one of the youngest or oldest in my class.
Parents chose to start me later

Your math is off.

It would be very abnormal for a 5yo to be in the 1st grade

Bus drivers rely on cameras. They don't get involved. Too much liability. Same with Teachers and Principals.

I googled the mother's name and town, then read about 5 articles on it. Articles are being put out nationwide.

There’s the problem. We had respect for our bus drivers, teachers, and especially the principal when I was a kid. And the reason we had respect for them was we had a healthy fear of the consequences that would result from not showing them respect. Kids today are no different than we were. Kids are kids. What’s changed is the adults. This isn’t a kid problem. It’s an adult problem. Namely a problem of adults not disciplining kids. From parents, to teachers, all the way up to the principal.

That website seems a little sketchy, but I guess if it’s local they probably know more than the bigger news sites.

I have a neighbor kid that's around 12 and he acts like a nice kid around grown ups but is a little shite to his much smaller brother. He's a future LTI resident. The little bastard causes no end of trouble for his dad and the mother doesn't back up what his dad tells him to do.

There was one like that in my hood.

The only name I had was the victim's mother. She is white.

I saw that one. I was a little disappointed that there were no comments from the locals yet. I will check back later.

I’m convinced busses are the top places for children to become victims.

That is precisely why my little girls do not ride the bus.
