I was very good friends with Alfredo Gonzales' 1st cousin, who was also a Viet Nam vet, they grew up in the same house, as dedicated as Freddy was, he tried everything he could to disuade his cousin from going to Viet Nam

I'm gonna throw out the name of David Hackworth. A controversial guy, but a hell of a soldier.

I am sorry but what Rambo did was WAY more impressive than anything any of these guys did.

yep, he could drive a tank, fly a million dollar helicopter, but the Man wouldn't even let him work at a car wash

Hiroo Onoda makes anyone in that top five list look like Dora the Explorer.
This dude fought World War 2 until 1974 and the only way they were able to get him to stop was to find the officer that had given him his orders 30 years earlier and fly the now old man to the Philippines to relieve him of his post.

I would throw in Robert Howard MOH from Vietnam. He was put in for more though.

Hey now. Aren't there rules against nominating our kinfolk?

Churchill should have been #1

Bob Howard could be on that top 5 list.

Everybody should be taught who these guys are.
It inspires me to read about guys that did things that I couldn't comprehend unless I read the citations.
I am most happy that I am of an age that missed any sort of war.

My personal favorite just behind Audie Murphy. No slouches amongst them. Men like these are above petty arse rankings.

Audie Murphy was the real life Captain America. Was denied entry after faking a birth certificate and being turned down due to his physical stature and asthma or some shite. He finally got in cuz his arse wanted to kill some fricking Nazi's. He then wrecked shite across Europe becoming the most decorated soldier in US history. Oh Yeah!! In his movie, they left shite out because he thought people would think it was bullshite cuz it was so fricking badass and awesome. His shite was too fricking badass for fricking Hollywood. Think about that shite. 'Murica mf'ers!!!
