As most others have said don’t do it. Our LG front loader went out this week. It will not spin and makes a loud, gear grinding type noise when I run it on diagnostic. My wife wants a top loader instead and we bought a Maytag from Lowes yesterday. She didn’t even want to consider getting it fixed.
With our front loader we have to wipe the bottom of the front gasket to keep it clean. After that we leave the washer’s door open for a while to help the mositer evaporate. If we didn’t we would notice a musty smell the next time we use it.
On a side note about Lowes – I found out that they will give active and ex militay a 10% discount. They gave it to me yesterday on the new machine. I just have to go back to customer service and show them a copy of my DD214.

Once you link your military discount with your my Lowe's account, it automatically applies at checkout. It's awesome.

Get a top loader with the option of choosing your water level AND make sure it has an agitator. We bought at Lowe's -- think it's GE and it was ~$700 for the pair. Had it 4 1/2 years and it's been fine so far. Husband is a farmer and he gets nasty dirty at some times of the year so agitator and being able to select water level were priority for me.
eta not sure what size it is BUT I can fit a queen size quilt in it.

Front loaders suck. Go top load. Hands down. Regret buying it everyday

We're on year 25 with my Kenmore 70 Series. I've personally replaced the belt on the dryer and the lid switch on the washer just by watching Youtube videos.
Sometimes simpler is better. Washer/dryers are one of those times
*oh and front loaders suck

When that spider assembly goes (and it will) might as well haul that bitch to the curb.

Get another top loader. Front loaders suck. Thank me later. They hold water and mildew the gaskets, you have to dry out the gaskets every time and leave the door open to air dry to avoid this. If you don't put them on stands you have to bend way over to move the clothes. And they don't wash as good as a top loader since they try to conserve water.
And they are murder on your back taking clothes out, will never have another one.

What does your wife/butler/maid/mom/girlfriend think?

I have a Kenmore washer and a Kenmore dryer. They work and they last and can be repaired easily. On the dryer I have replaced the door switch and the electric heating coil. On the dryer Imreplaced the agitator dogs. That’s it in 20+ years.

Had a Samsung front loader, probably a 4.3, for 7 years. Seals had mildew, it held water, leaked in the door. Blankets came out dry in places. Junked it and got a GE top loader, 5.5 I think. Works great. Would never recommend front loader to anyone.
