Not quite there with the 401K, however over 12 years at my company with $100,000 RSU's annual vested, vested portfolio value ~ 7% compound $997,405, unvested pipeline value $200,000, total equity net worth $1,197,405, as a senior software engineering manager.

Aim for 55…5 years of financial life freedom worth more than $ saved from 55-60. My opinion only. Unlikely to up your retirement lifestyle that much.
And then, if you wish, work to 60. But give yourself the option to eject at 55. Rule of 55 may be your friend.
Pump that taxable once tax shelter reaches breakeven: tax deferred = taxable. Taxable gives you options even earlier than 55. 72t may be your friend.
You are doing great! Keep it up.
PS, that pension is worth north of $1 million (the present value of cash flows - like giving you and your wife a fund earning 4-5% per year…to draw $70k er year). Huge floor and optionality provider should you wish to stop investing early or eject early.

Yes, thank you. I have been eyeing options. The 457 gives us some early access optionality too.

I started late into investing with my company till many years after I started. i only have right at 180k in mine, BUT i will be 50 in October and my job is pretty easy - I can do it for the next 15 or so years and have no issues - plus it is a WFH job with no travel.
