It's also interesting as hell to look at those numbers again sorted by socioeconomic strata. I'll bang that drum until I'm blue in the face--that is the driving factor in most criminal activity, especially violent criminal activity.

Is that an excuse? Hell no. Is it a reason to act a plumb fool? Fuuuuck no, and frick anyone who posits that it is.

Socioeconomic status is absolutely a major factor is most violent crime. Poor people commit far more crime, regardless of race. Then there are cases like this where there was no economic gain to be made and those involved were just evil.

Got to Al Sharpon's politics nation Facebook page or any similar black political page and get back to me on if it is fairly common for this type of behavior to be blamed on racism , lack of jobs etc and even applauded.

Link or you are just another Sharpton. I haven't seen anyone defending their behavior. Defending their race against generalizations, yes. FWIW, black males do account for an inordinate amount of crime AND more black males are locked up for drugs. Both can be correct. I get that poverty can be a bitch (we ate poke salad and eggs regularly when I was very young), but this behavior is beyond excuse. I say locked those 4 and the a-hole in South Carolina up in a cage and then flood the cage.
