The top headline is "It's Sickening" and the video is the top story. Anybody who thinks the media isn't covering this is simply ignorant.

I'm kind of, well.. of the opinion that most crimes are hate crimes. I'm not going to commit a crime against someone that I like.

This. Crime is crime. Kind of silly we have to tack on this extra special designation

Right. The crime is bad enough but the gov punishes the thought behind it. There's no way this could end badly and become the slippery slope

I have one comment. My mom was Pres. of SVDP (St. Vincent De Paul) in North Baton Rouge in the late 80's, all through the 1990's. What I saw (in the area code I grew up in) was poverty and ignorance. But manipulative ignorance, how to "play the system". Women with multiple babies, looking in to a box of food and asking why we didn't provide grits.

This is NOT race related. This is socio-economic related. The poors.

I think it's a mix of things. Obviously poverty plays a big part but culture does too, otherwise every poor community would have similar rates of violence and that just isn't so.

I'm gonna tell my returning from Afghanistan story here.
Me and my younger brother had been over there for 15 months and flew into BR to drive home to MS.
We knew we needed gas and stopped at the Racetrac for gas.
A few minutes later this black with a chain came tried to mug us. I told ole black he needed to back off and he advanced and my brother destroyed him with a right hook.

We loaded his arse up in the back of our truck and drove him up to rural Liberty, MS and threw him over the fence of a coyote hunting place with an electric fence.

Lol

Right. Approach a stranger and bust his head open. Is the specific thought as to why going to make it much more worse?

I agree. The racial component is more like an undertone IMO but it is a direct reaction to things that President Obama legitimized like the BLM movement. Horrible governance on his part, but here we are, with President Trump (NTTAWWT)

The fact that socioeconomics and culture are largely relevant does not suggest that race did not have a role in their motivations. They openly shout "frick white people" and "frick Donald Trump." They tortured this guy. Selected him specifically and treated him like he was a literal piece of garbage. Don't tell me that is simply a result of socioeconomics. They had sick and ignorant mentalities but to say it flat out wasn't race related in spite of their blatant racial remarks is delusional.

In the end, it doesn't matter to me what their motivations were, because they are sick, disgusting pieces of trash that are reflective of a certain culture and mindset not racial group.

Black, white, Asian. Aren't trashy, just...trashy. No matter what? Yeah, there are your sociopaths. But in normal everyday life, don't the poor people do most of the murdering? Curious? Not famous cases. Those are probably well to do. But average crime. Is it the poor?

Been awhile Bush!

I am not excusing animals. They exist everywhere. But we are used to seeing them in some places, rather than others. Don't ever google the Russian Murders...I won't give the name. Look, I grew up looking at poverty, and the laziness and ignorance pisses me the frick off. I get it. But these extreme, sociopathic crimes, exist all over.
