Has more to do with the our country being more about driving. A lot of those countries have most people living in towns where they walk and bike. Go visit Italy or france. You walk and take the subway. You can eat a huge meal, every meal in Italy, and wont gain weight if you walk through the town.

In fairness, if you are 6'1 and 250, there is a 99.99% chance that you are not John Cena.

there was a special on TV a while back about this and i was surprised how many people had no clue how many calories they were eating

they went to a salad bar place and asked people to guess how many calories their salad's had and then tested them

the average person was off by 60%. I think it said the average salad people were eating was 1,100 calories.

People think because its the word SALAD that its healthy and dont realize that the 3 scoops of ranch has 500 calories.

Meh. I'm a reasonably in shape guy and I have no idea how many calories are in anything I eat.

Why does your list omit the 18 countries that are fatter than the US?

No it's not
You do know heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US right?

Yes, it is.

Smoking causes 443,000 deaths annually. Obesity causes 323,000.

Yes, and it's also related to smoking, not just obesity.

It is a national security issue, between obesity and inability to do even basic physical training the Army and Marine Corps are having difficulty recruiting to their standards.

Since Mexico is second on the list, how much have they inflated our numbers over the years?
