WAFB

quote:

The arrests were for the following:

Open container violations - 4
Minor in possession - 9
Resisting arrest - 3
Picture ID required for entering a licensed alcohol outlet - 20
Unlawful entry into a business selling alcohol by person under age 18 - 20
Battery of a police officer - 1
Disturbing the peace by simple drunk - 1
Use of a fake ID to enter and purchase alcohol - 8

Never change Reggie's, never change. I think the last (and only time) I went there I was 17.

ETA: They actually arrest people for these things? I understand battery and disturbing the peace. But the rest? That's ridiculous.

Going to Reggie's and fricking a high school teacher, two things that aren't cool once you're legally old enough.

The police are going to start cracking down with regularity on all of the bars after the scrap that created the social media shitstorm. It's predictable pushback imo.

I bet this has something to do with that big fight that happened in the parking lot a while back. The one where they were kicking unconscious people in the head.

It's one thing to arrest a man for being drunk but there's no need to insult him in the process.

They do when those people generally pay their fines.

These departments aren't going to fund themselves. What the kids/bar was doing is illegal. But make no mistake, these "stings" are just money grabs
