Like with any opinion piece, there are just as many with the opposite opinion. They just weren't included in this piece because it didnt fit the narrative that the piece was trying to push.

It's like polls, numbers can be skewed to get the outcome you want

seems like a stupid cross to die on.

no one seriously would trade American lives to save the economy.
but, you are ignorant if you don't realize the long term consequences for millions with the shutting down the US economy.

point is: go frick yourself you self righteous bitch.

I saw an article in mid February that said several economists thought the travel restrictions on China were unhelpful and racist.

These "consensus" articles should be taken with a grain of salt.

meanwhile, China just closed all it's borders to prevent the re-spread of the Corona virus. Is China now the racist ones?

b/c testing is still not as readily available as needed

93% of those tested now are coming back negative and that's testing those most likely to have it.

... testing people with symptoms. Asymptomatic people are walking around infecting people bc they don’t know they are infected. We also have to get to a point where blood test are performed to see who has had it. Bc those people can get back to everyday life as they won’t get re-infected.

So the fatality rate of this virus is a fraction of what’s being reported?

Sounds great to me.

I understand that. I put that in response with...

Conservatives only care about bringing the stock market back so Trump will win the election.

Just that I don’t care about the market going back up for that reason. It was a dumb statement and I was just pointing it out.

Like I said, I'm gonna go with the experts on this one. It's pretty logical that if you force everyone to work in the midst of a global pandemic the economic hardships you will experience will outweigh the ones if you gain control of the virus first

Point is: if you think going back to work right now is the best option for the economy, you're a fricking idiot
