Keto has been known to cure type 2 and there is an argument it can starve tumors as cancer relies on complex carbs and sugars IIRC

You might hate me for saying this, but keto (as opposed to Ozempic et.al) would be one of the optimal ways for obese people to safely lose weight if they are not resistance training since ketones restrict catabolism. Just saying...I hate doing keto and think people should enjoy their diet but the biochemistry is there.

no not at all. i believe keto and IF are great strategies to lose bodyfat and control calories. I was just saying you dont ahve to and the reason why you are losing weight is two fold

1) caloric deficit
2) Dietary induced thermogensis from the higher % of protein

i use both keto and IF when cutting, but i was just pointing out that its not needed and you dont lose bodyfat any faster.

Eat your whole foods and stay away from nasty processed oils please.

Also, do your best to eat as much fiber daily as you possibly can. Fiber feeds the good gut flora and keeps motility high.

in animal trials in really high doses per kg of bodyweight it caused thyroid tumors, but only in some animals, not all and no reports in humans at all.

So sort of like that SARM people take to lose weight. In super high doses it gave mice cancer so it never made it to market. I think it was S-23 or one of those.

I've always wondered about Asians with Rice and Italians with pasta. How come they ain't fat like us?

One of the big things is they move more. A huge number of Americans barely burn more than their basal metabolic rate. They are also more cognizant of portion control. I had a friend go to Italy last year and was planning on buying a lot of clothes, he found one shirt in Italy that fit him.

I literally live on carbs (and protein) my average intake of carbs this time of year is 600 grams per day. Most of it is white/beige carbs but I burn 1900-2000 calories per day on average just training add my BMR and just basic movement and I have to eat about 3800-3900 kCal a day.

Personally, I don’t think keto or carnivore is sustainable for the vast majority of people either. They’ll lose weight, but eventually most will come off and end up rebounding.

I think the key is finding your own individual balance to where you don’t even consider it a “diet” anymore. It takes time and discipline, especially when you’re bombarded with scientifically engineered foods to maximize craving and addiction.

agree, i think they are perfectly fine in short term diets to lose weight but eventually have to learn to eat like an adult that revolves protein first.

Does Ozempic cause cancer? Seems like I read that somewhere

I don't think any GLP-1 agonist has been linked to a case of human cancer. Probably a slightly elevated risk in some specific endocrine disorders.

gw-501516- Cardinine but when it caused cancer it caused it at 100% rate. it was at a rate of 65mg for 80kg human so much closer to the dosage of 20mg

but also there was a lot of politics behind it never making it to market. cardinine does a lot for heart health and would have cut down on profits in other area for the company making it

but also it only increased energy and endurance not fat loss itself.

yea average TDEE for americans is lower when compared on a kg to kg basis (BMR) due to lower activity levels.

Thats it. I get them confused because S23 does a lot of similar things as Cardinine such as increased energy and endurance you mentioned.

I didnt brag about working out. You asked if I work out and what my waist size is. I ANSWERED your questions. I did happily brag about wearing a size 34 seeing as I used to be 10 inches more around than that. I told you I used to be a huge piece of shite. But people can change. I'm trying to avoid the temptation to get spiked blonde hair and little bitty jeans.

I didnt judge anyone. I stated the fact that people rarely appreciate the things they dont earn and would be better off learning discipline and earning their goals than taking a pharmaceutical shortcut.

I stand by that statement.
