3 year old potty training issues

We have been trying to potty train my 3 year old son for awhile now. He will go pee on the toilet if you bring him but less than an hour later he will wet himself and just sit in wet underwear and watch tv or play like he’s dry. It’s like he can’t hold it at all, just feels the urge and goes. We have been trying for weeks now and daycare is helping as well.
He does have constipation issues which is the only thing I can think of that could be causing him to be reluctant to go to the bathroom on his own or tell us when he needs to pee or poop. I’ve started him on a fiber probiotic to see if we can get him more regular and hopefully it will fix the wetting himself problem.
His twin sister has been potty trained for months now.
Any other advice?

He’s just trying to be like his dad, cut the little guy some slack

My only recommendation is to not let the constipation issue get any worse. Our daughter was incredibly constipated and had to do enemas and all the laxatives. It was awful going through that, and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Ultimately the constipation was also causing her to have pee accidents as well.

He’s 3. He’ll grow out of it

It’s been bad off and on. He will go days without pooping then we give him some Miralax and later that day he produces this massive log that is hard as a rock.

I have been saying this for a few months now, but if he doesn’t get it by August he can’t attend pre k so I’m getting anxious.

My son did the same, ole baw just trying to assert his dominance. Does he smirk when your changing that wet diaper?

Son turned 3 recently. Potty trained.
We made it fun for him. I let him piss in the backyard of whatever. Eventually he started going in the potty.
My daughter was 11000% worse.

We made my son stay naked for about 3-4 days and he was basically fully potty trained by the end of it.
Look into it.
Look into it.

Underwear or diaper? Please be clear. I have excellent advice depending on your answer to this question.

Do you bribe with candy every time they go? Try a small toy if he goes a week without an accident
What worked for us was whenever they had a long break from school, we would basically do a potty training boot camp. When they wake up and do their morning routine, have them in their favorite underwear and go to the bathroom every 15 minutes. Give them a candy/treat after every visit. Next day was 30 minutes. Next an hour. Day 4 was when they were ready, but we’d routinely ask/remind them between bathroom breaks. After those couple of days, we’d still have an occasional FOMO accident because they couldn’t make it in time; but we were definitely over the hump
This is normal. Girls get potty training down a lot faster than boys

Do a potty training boot camp weekend…..you have to stay home to make it work. We did it with my son and I thought it would never work but by God by Sunday he was not having any accidents.

Underwear, he only wears a pull up to sleep.

That’s like 10% of his life.

In that case, unfortunately, I don't have any good advice for you. I'm sorry.

He's three. Stop giving him fiber and relax. Just keep at it

I've had weekends like this and I'm over 40.

Girls develop faster than boys. Give him time - he’ll get tired of sitting in is own filth.

You’re putting a whole lot of stress on both you and your son(and potentially mom and twin sis). I have 5 kids and some learned quicker than others. My 3 girls were quicker than my boys to potty train. For my boys, I used Cheerios in the toilet that they aimed for as enticement. My oldest was still occasionally wetting his bed at 4, but he’s graduating law school in a couple weeks and was married this last weekend. He turned out just fine.
