Idk about that. They live in places like Monticello, Sherwood Forest etc. It's the white middle class that's left in droves over the past 30-35 years or so.

I just found out my cousin was with her right before this happened and they left at the same time. One turned left; the other turned right. Total happenstance. Heartbreaking.
I just found out my sister is good friends with her mom and my nieces have all gone to school with her and her little brother at Dutchtown. They are devastated.

Greenwell Springs too. Plenty of elderly blacks that live in the North Sherwood Forest area.

Everyone says "something must be done" but no one does anything or comes up with ideas.
This is a first. An idea and it's community based.

At least New Orleans is putting forth an effort to recall the Mayor and brought in outside consultants to rebuild the NOPD
What is Baton Rouge doing?

Fire Murphy Paul
Quit wasting resources on BS “anti-crime campaigns” & allocate that money to BRPD to bring in more patrol officers
Start holding the DA & local judges accountable for repeat offenders being back on the street

Yeah. They were very good friends. She is devastated, understandably.

The Beauregard Town home invasion, and murder that happened in 2010 comes to mind. The fricking animal who shot to death the woman in her own home and nearly killed her daughter should’ve never been allowed to roam freely on the streets with the violent rap sheet he had. Completely inexcusable actions by the 19th JDC.

I don’t. I bet her mom does.

Go ahead and address the problem, then see how fast you get canceled by the people who support all of this. They will call you a "racist nazi", then have you destroyed.
This is all happening by design.

Ackshually, crime decreased nationally as a spillover effect. The success in NYC resulted in a positive externality for the rest of the country.
In other words, people saw it was working and copied it elsewhere. The bad guys got scared and most of them quit being as bad.
What data do you have to support this?
I've read a ton about this phenomenon and I have NEVER seen this argument until your post.

quote:They aren't filled up with those types. There are all sorts of diversion programs and drug court. You're buying a bullshite narrative.
We don't need prisons filled up to the max with people who were in possession of drugs
quote:You are naive as frick. Clearly you watch too many movies.
And while they are in jail, there should be programs to teach them useful skills because, let's say someone is 19 years old. He goes to prison for attempted murder. He gets 12 years in prison. He gets out at 32 what is he going to do? The only thing he knows is the streets. He spent 12 years in jail just to be put back on the street to be a threat to people again.
quote:Criminal dysfunctionals are generally the same person at 31 as they were at 19. It would take until mid 40s for many.
But how many people are the same person at 31 as they were at 19? You give people self confidence and a skill they are more likely going to become more of an asset to society than a burden
quote:DCI, Hunt and Angola aren't private. They don't have an abundance of your pie in the sky programs.
And with all of these private ran prisons.
quote:Again, non-violent drug offenders are not in prison. Now, if that was their 3rd strike, you'll look back and find battery charges and the like. Everything is pled down.
And they love the fact drugs are criminalized because it keeps their prisons filled which means the state pays them more money
AND, it's "run" not "ran."

The Federal Government needs to take over BRPD for starters. The administration is corrupt.

They must have gini coefficient data they are not releasing.

The same Federal Government that just had the POTUS hold ANOTHER press conference this week stating that "white supremacy" is the greatest threat to our society? That government?
The Feds would look at this crime as a win as well. They are all on that team. Joe Biden and his ilk spent millions bailing out people who killed others and destroyed cities two short years ago. You think they would help here? These are the results they want.

I’m going to keep bumping it until we find out what happened. If it is what we think then this is the tipping point for me.
I’m ready for action. Enough is enough. I hope you each search your own soul and ask yourself what is it going to take for you to speak up if not this?
