That shite right there is about right. No matter how much they try and pussy wagon a Corvette. Those are the frickers you see driving them.
The average age of a C8 owner is much younger than previous years, It's now about the same age as a 911 owner.

Once you get used to it, you’re ready for more. It’s an addiction the likes of a drug habit.
That’s a fact. I got a C8 last year and it feels downright boring when you aren’t breaking the law. Looks cool, feels futuristic compared to my shite bag daily.
C8 is so well balanced that I take it for granted. I will keep pushing the norm until I shift during a turn and I feel it slide just a little and realize that I used to take that corner 20 mph lower.
That little catch of the breath when you don’t know if you are about to go sideways is very helpful to keep me from killing myself.

Owning a corvette of any year has got to be the douchiest and trashiest thing ever.

Wow. Sorry you are a pinto fan…. Vette’s are cool but just not that much fun in the city.

Maybe you should spend a couple minutes and google the partnership between St Jude and Vette owners and realize just how foolish your post is.

That's right...let all the butthurt and jealousy flow out of you...
Now, get back to your fry station.

1064 hp twin turbo flat plane crank v8?

I think the engine note teaser sounds like a cross plane but given it is boosted it is harder to tell. IMO it makes more sense to go CPC on an SC engine because you don't need the revs or really much reason to have very light reciprocating mass and it makes the engine more expensive to produce and more complicated.

My C5 with a btr stg 2 turbo cam, ported heads, a 78-75 turbo. Manual and everything else say otherwise.
Drives tame as shite, gets 25mpg at 80 mph on the interstate, and I know the exact spot it’ll bust the tires loose at pretty much any speed.
Like I said…. Older cars take drivers, and newer cars take money. RWHP, and being able to control it without the nanny controls is one thing, and these newer cars as awesome as they are, are meant for those that can’t.

It’s a flat plane crank. Comparing a flat plane engine to the ole school engines are like comparing them to a rotary, or turbine.
They will make a lot more high rpm power due to their balance/harmonics, but they don’t last long. They rely on higher rpm’s.
The in-line 6 is honestly one of the most stable engines there is.

Being able to turn off or better yet adjust the nannies at the track is one thing but nannies are a good thing in daily driving. I remember maybe 20 years ago someone ask Michael Schumacher if he turned off the TCS on his daily driver and he replied basically that he was not stupid.

1000 hp might be fun on long straights/sweepers. But give me about 300 usable HP, a manual transmission, and a handbrake - and if there are any kind of curves/turns, you ain't catching me.

Never fails at a track day to have at least one guy in a high HP car in the lower classes where they don't allow passing in the corners that backs up a line of Miatas, Minis, GR86s, and the like just to blast off on the straight. I am also convinced most of them are color-blind and can't perceive blue because they are the ones who ignore all the blue flags until they finally get black-flagged.
