I didn't think I implied that.
Most jobs are a mix of different people but certain jobs are more likely to attract certain types of people.
I think it would help to start shaping what modern policing looks like as a career towards something less aggressive and confrontational. Right now a career in law enforcement looks like the kind of job you want to pursue if you are a thrill-seeking street warrior. It should be attracting people that are interested in being an investigator and social worker.
Tacticool military wannabes need not apply.

You say this I often thought it, but when I was 42 I started talking to girl that was 22, but a ‘young 22’ in maturity, I have to admit that. Once we started talking outside of work, I realized that the age difference was just going to be too much. It felt like talk to one one of my nieces friends or something and didn’t feel right. We quickly decided that it was going to be just friends. Just not anything on common and nothing really to talk about where it didn’t feel like I was giving her advice or guidance. Her main concern seemed to be getting me set up with Snapchat, which I wanted no part of.
I also realized if a 40+ year old man was trying to get with my niece, they’d get a call from me if not my brother or brother in law. Not trying to be a bad arse and saying I’d do physical harm, but that as a family member his actions would not be accepted.
Anyway, carry on about how you want to have sex with someone 19 years old, fresh out of high school. It’s different than I expected when I only considered her the hot arse piece of tail at work.

This is their new norm. They will never recover from Edmonsons years of cronyism. Their recruiting has taken a hit from good folks not wanting to be in law enforcement anymore. Jindal had the right idea in slashing LSP back a few hundred.
