How long does the antibody last?
Your body produces different types, but the quickly produced one, IgM, presents in about one week and remains detectable for 2-3 months.

It sounds like this was a test to see if people have COVID19, it appears they tested people who thought they might be sick.

quote:

“Those reported numbers are based on positive COVID-19 tests, and we're all aware that a very, very small percentage of people in Chelsea and everywhere are getting COVID-19 tests."

The test they used has not been approved by the FDA, so there is no publicly available data on the potential issues with the test. The hospital approved it for this use but I don't see any additional details on what kind of analysis the hospital did on the test device.

quote:

Doctors used a device made by BioMedomics to analyze the samples. The test hasn’t been approved by the FDA, but Mass. General approved the device for use.

This proves what was already know, more people have COVID19 than have officially tested positive for it. However, based a quick review of this "study" you can't extrapolate any kind of numbers from it to apply to a larger population. In fact, you can't even make any confident statements about the 200 tested, since we don't know anything about potential false results.

The Stanford doc who did his COVID-19 anti-body study believes the true CFR to be right in line with the common flu.
3 weeks ago he was around that it was 10% as deadly as the flu (which is now impossible based on the current death totals), bad on his terrible back of the envelope math using NBA infection rates.

Now a pretty terrible study, although better than his NBA argument, and it’s 10 times more deadly than 3 weeks ago.

Finally in 3 weeks maybe he’ll have a not-terrible study and it will be 10 times more deadly again, and in line with the estimates from other researchers who weren’t using the inaccurate antibody tests.

I wish they’d test a random 3000 in NYC.
They must have over 50% exposure.

These people have no idea how to deal with this virus. I dont even believe the testing is accurate.

The only way to confirm the results is to sneeze in these peoples mouth.
