Rose Acre Farms of Seymour, Ind., is voluntarily recalling the eggs due to possible contamination with the bacteria.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, 22 illnesses have been reported so far.
The eggs were distributed from the farm in Hyde County, N.C., and reached consumers in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia through retail stores and restaurants.
They were sold under the brand names Country Daybreak; Crystal Farms; Coburn Farms; Sunshine Farms; Glenview; Great Value; as well as at Walmart and Food Lion stores.
The recall involves eggs with the plant number P-105, with the Julian date range of 011 through 012 printed on either side of the carton or package.
Consumers who have purchased the eggs are urged to immediately discontinue use of the recalled eggs and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Problem with eggs ia the salmonella is on the outside of the shell.
Actually, that isnt the problem. The problem is people dont know safe food handling and how to wash their hands.

It’s all in what you are exposed to as well. My wife is the daughter of a rice farmer. She won’t cook rice until she rinses it very well, says if you ever saw what gets on rice st the mill you would too. I don’t care. I just cook it

This is why you buy rice grown in the USA. Also why you do not eat Tilapia, sewerage pond fish from Asia, or farm shrimp from Asia. The small price difference to buy domestic products is worth it. You are also helping support American producers and workers.

About 80% of rice consumed in the United States is grown in. The United States, not some 3rd world country. The imported rice is mostly aromatic rice like basmati and jasmine and now American growers are starting to grow these as well.
Washing the rice several times until the water runs clear removes all of the starch and allows the rice to cook individually and not get sticky. I wash and I know plenty that don’t and I’d be willing to bet if you’ve eaten rice anywhere but Home you have eaten unwashed rice.
