My wife and I were discussing adoption, we had just watched the baby rescued out of the bag in Georgia. I mentioned how I felt I couldn't adobt because I'd be afraid that I could possibly love someone else's child the way that I love my biological children. The conversation shifted to my wife's cousin. He and his wife had trouble having children, tried In Vitro, and eventually had two children. I had always assumed that they were the couples biological children. Turns out, the guy was infertile, and they used a sperm donor. Kids are not biologically his, but they are hers and whoever the donor is. I was very surprised. I don't think I could do that. If in that position, I'd rather adopt and neither be biologically connected, than doing it half way. Bigger, more mature people than me I guess.

To be fair a lot of men raise kids that aren't their kid, but think it was.
