With how insane people are on the road, I notice a significant difference in my driving when my kids are in the car.

It's nuts. I literally stopped for a few seconds to let what looked like an 80 year old lady out of a bank parking lot. Traffic was backed up anyway. We weren't going anywhere.

I’ve been a victim of road rage twice in my life. I was scared shitless both times.

I deserved it the first time because I was mocking two Asians in a store and they chased after me in their Subaru

The second time was an African American because I laid on the horn when he didn’t wave to acknowledge I just let him in traffic.

Appears that it started near the MS/AL border. Sounds like the victim was pulling a covered trailer from FL and the shooter ran him off the road with some back and forth rage.

There were several times when I got pissed off on the road, i have gotten better, but the last time was on college drive. Just north of the railroad track.

Traffic was moving then came to a dead stop and I was in front where you enter the fed ex place on College. There was a truck in front of me and a car in back of me. No way I could have avoided being where I was.

This old Mexican man starts blowing his horn and yelling.. I rolled down my window and told him "frick you. I can't move until the traffic moves you frick up". He is yelling about how he has to be able to get out. He inches up closer as if he thought he was going to get in right in front of me when the traffic started moving, I inched up as to say "frick you if you think I am going to let you in now". He opens his door and is standing up out of his door about how I better let him out and I told him something like "Im not letting anyone in homes so frick you" sort of in an attempted Mexican accent.. And traffic started moving and he couldn't even get back seated in his truck long enough to even attempt to get in front of me.

I had it in my head I was going to fight.. Then when I calmed down I thought to myself "what the hell would I have done if he really wanted to fight?" .. I would have had to put down my lift in the van, roll out the van.. And that whole imagine came to mind and I started laughing about it... But frick that old Mexican man.

How do they catch someone in a case like this? Would it strictly be eye witnesses? Has to be cameras somewhere along the way right? Seems like quite a long stretch to not have passed some type of camera.

Living a few years in a metro area of several hundred thousand people with shitty traffic flow cured me of my road rage. After day after day of it, you realize at some point that you are going to feel terrible all the time if you don't stop getting stressed and mad. Too many shitty drivers out there.

(Although I confess I still sometimes have the daydream of running over every car with a monster truck when I'm stuck in a traffic jam.)

They don't have to acknowledge your kindness. Obama told them they deserved it and moved them all to head of the line. Didn't you get the memo?

There are eyewitnesses. Mid-afternoon Memorial Day traffic on I10. There has to be videos after 20 miles of road rage.

Mine was in 2005.

Redlight tubed green but I couldn’t tell (sun in my eyes) guy behind me blows his horn and then slams in gas and passes me.

He then locked up his brakes several times eventually forcing me off the road into a gravel parking lot.

He got out with his bat and started walking towards my truck hollering and flipping me off.

I got out with my 9 in my hand and shotgun close.

We kept coming towards me until he saw I had my 9 in my hand at my side. He stopped told me to duck off again and peeled out throwing rocks everywhere.

Had another one where these 2 guys were swerving towards me as they were passing(several times). I took the next exit for about 2-3 minutes then got back on I-20. Truck was pulled over about 10 miles down the road

From the “Sun-Herald” article:

According to MHP Sgt. Justin Elkins, the other vehicle had Louisiana license plates and continued driving west on I-10.

MHP is working to identify the make and model of the other vehicle involved in the crime.

This is why I now have front and rear dash cams in all of my company vehicles.
