Crime was relatively low in NYC until the current mayor screwed everything up.
It’s a world class city and while I have zero interest in living there it’s always a fun place to visit.

New York is cleaner and safer than it was back then.
Actually it’s on par with the crime rate then, but did you take into account that in the 1930’s they were still suffering from the Great Depression?
Also, weird that during the period of “white flight”, crime rates grew exponentially. I wonder why?

You said safer today, what did you mean by safer?

Lmao, I say let the facts speak for themselves.

Shoutout OP, that was a cool video. WAY longer than I had anticipated, but still enjoyed it.

The city I could never afford to live in is a dirty, nasty city.

So why did you act like you were ignorant of its meaning?

You are without a doubt my favorite lib. You are everything that is wrong with liberalism. And you respond so accordingly.
I said I would allow for the facts to speak for themselves.
What do the facts tell you?

That was awesome. There were some tall buildings that were torn down. I wonder how demolition was done back then?

Is that smog in the first shot of the video?
If so, that's a lot of smog.
You gotta take into account that a lot of powered things, such as most trains, heaters, generators, etc were powered by coal/steam back then. Coal-burning = smog galore.
