Wow. Got any more wisdom to share?

Nah, that's about all I gathered after 52 pages of reading what happened.

19 year old girl burned alive in Mississippi Saturday night- horrific (updated)
Well it's a crime scene, maybe LEO has asked people not to disturb the area until they give an all clear.

Can someone sum up the thugs and drugs angle? I was reading things on pg 48 and I'm lost among all the talk of theories or whatever. Gang related? Drug dealers? Why would they want to
Kill her. Someone explain please
Jessica used to date a guy in the Black Squad gang. They broke up, Jessica went to a rehab/abuse shelter for a while, and the ex-boyfriend is now in Iowa (alleged to be selling drugs there now). He has already been cleared of committing the murder.
One theory holds that the gang was afraid of Jessica snitching on their activities so they took her out. Jessica was said to have gone around telling everyone that she intended to write a book about herself and Courtland, Mississippi.
There could be no direct connection but here is a new burning body/vehicle case that happened about an hour and a half North of where Jessica was killed.
Body Found in Burning Pickup Truck in Tennessee

Wouldn't surprise me if the same people did it randomly to try to throw off the investigation. Also wouldn't surprise me if it was determined that the truck had loud pipes on it. This mess is so wild who knows what will happen next.

I am still afraid that this case may go the way of the Malasian air flight.
This. It will infuriate me if they fumble this.
Now another person found burned in a northern suburb of Memphis. Police suspect it was no accident.

Body found slumped over in the passenger seat of the truck. This is just crazy.

This is the first day I might have time to catch up on this story since last weekend. Its been an extremely busy week for work

Now would be a good time to catch up since we have a lull in information being posted.

so after reading the last page it looks like this went from a random horrific tragedy to a more drug related murder. It looks like the gang was trying to act like the cartels.

They also had the same scenario happen in Tuscaloosa like 4 days after Jessica Chambers death

The dark place where Jessica was attacked will soon light up with expressions of YOUR CARING. Due to overwhelmingly wonderful response, the Lowes Garden Center in Batesville (near Courtland) has been wiped clean of flowers, plants and mini-trees all purchased for Jessica Lane Chambers.

PANOLA CO, MS (WMC) - Ali Alsanai says he doesn't know if someone choked Jessica Chambers outside his store. He also says he just found out about the allegations and it is not in his surveillance recording system. "I heard from random customers walking in and out that she got choked a week before she died. It was early in the morning.....I didn't know about it because I wasn't here," said Alsanai.

Kendrick Sanders knew Jessica Chambers. His cousin, a South Panola football player where Chambers was a cheerleader, dated her. His cousin was locked up a year ago and remains behind bars. Sanford says people have even talked about him in connection the Chambers case. "They got my name caught up in the gang part. It ain't no gangs or nothing like that out here," said Sanders.

So wait a second ... you're saying that, in addition to this thing in Courtland and now Millington, there was also something similar that happened in Tuscaloosa in-between those two?
Three states, same crime, ten days between the three of them?

Okay, this article is the one that pieces together everything I was trying to say in my post on pg 51.
This is just way too coincidental, and why they haven't been able to connect these dots yet is beyond me.

So, we have local black gang associates posting terror threats on social media — threats of murder, by burning, directed at the women and children family members of white police employees — immediately before the murder, by burning, of the white teenage daughter of a local police department employee. Plus, the killing took place only minutes after the victim was seen on video at the same location as the husband or boyfriend of the person who posted the threats, as he was filling a handheld can with gasoline.

Among multiple alternative explanations, all of which require various assumptions in order to arrive at possible solutions, often the simplest and most plainest answer — involving the least number of assumptions — turns out to be the right one.
Doesn't seem to be that difficult and I am hoping the FBI already has this close to solved, just getting some missing pieces. In a small town like that, you know people are talking. There's video evidence. There's social media evidence in their own words. And soon enough, someone will be talking to save themselves.

I agree.
The reward money is now up to about a year's median salary for that area.
Someone is gonna sing.
I'm hoping that the only thing they are doing now is monitoring these people and just trying to get more physical evidence to make a case. Hopefully they've already secured some wiretaps and are just seeing how many people are involved, and maybe making a few other cases at the same time.

I am worried about this whole investigation drying out and withering.
It's Christmas and I imagine FBI are going to take time off. Plus, this is the third time I have bumped this thread from page 3.
I hate to see this thing botched or go unsolved.

Totally agree, the victim, despite her own problems, certainly did not deserve this, and someoneneeds to pay.
I definitely think it will be solved relatively quickly though, as I don't think that the FBI will be taking any real time off just bc it's a holiday. I have a feeling they're already pretty confident who was responsible and that they are just letting evidence come together before an arrest.
